Chloe qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2007, with much of her experience being within inpatient and community mental health settings.  In her current role as a psychological therapist in the NHS, she works within a Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) framework where she teaches mindfulness skills and strategies that can support an individual to develop tolerance to their distress, explore and work with difficult emotions and in doing so build the courage to move towards the difficulties they experience.

Chloe’s approach is to work collaboratively to gain a shared understanding of a person’s values and what is getting in the way of living a life that is meaningful to them. She believes that we all have inner wisdom and hopes to guide individuals to tune into and nurture this inner resource. 

Her interest in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) was ignited when she completed an introduction to Compassion Focused Therapy, which coincided with her yoga teacher training. Through her studies which bridge modern science and contemplative philosophy, she realised that compassion is an antidote to the suffering we face as humans. This has led her to her interest in practices that connect the mind and body and the therapeutic potential of yoga in complementing psychological approaches.
