Our warm, empathetic, and experienced therapists provide individual, group, couples and family therapy through a variety of evidence-based modalities.
Our therapists are specialists in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), but are also skilled in delivering a variety of other therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
All of our therapists are highly trained and experienced, and receive regular supervision from experts in CFT. Our office is conveniently located in the centre of Edinburgh and provides a warm and welcoming place for you to feel safe, supported and at ease.

How to organise a therapy session in Edinburgh
Please book a therapy session with us by completing our secure self-referral form. One of our team will subsequently respond to you via email with options for arranging an initial assessment appointment, as required.

Our therapists are fully covered by the major health insurance companies.
The duration time of assessment and therapy sessions is 50 minutes and details of fees can be found here. We also offer a limited number of concessionary slots for those on low wages. Please enquire about our concessionary availability via the self-referral form.
In the event we are not in capacity to provide you with a session in-person, or if you are unable to commute to one of our offices, you can still access our therapy. Edinburgh-based clinicians still offer online therapy session via a number of online platforms such as Zoom and Skype, or by telephone.
If this is a requirement or option for you, simply indicate your preference when you complete the self-referral form.
Who we work with
Most of our work is catered towards helping adults (16 years old+), however several of our clinicians are experienced in helping children, adolescents and families. Additionally, we also provide couples and relationship therapy.
All our Compassion Focused Therapy Edinburgh clinicians are highly experienced, well trained and receive regular supervision. They have all received specific training in Compassion Focused Therapy, and are supervised by specialist CFT practitioners.
If you feel that you’re not ready to start your therapy journey, we also have other evidence-based options that might be useful. We have self-guided online self-compassion courses which research have found to significantly reduce psychological distress and increase wellbeing.
