Dr Lucy Birch
Clinical Psychologist & Associate
Dr Lucy Birch qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2004. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Glasgow. Her doctoral thesis focused on autobiographical memory recall in depression. Her NHS posts as a Clinical Psychologist have been in a variety of services, including weight management, adult mental health and older adult mental health.
Dr Lucy Birch’s areas of specialist interest and experience include depression, anxiety, grief, psychological trauma, physical health problems and issues associated with ageing. She predominantly uses Compassion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and interpersonal Psychotherapy in her therapeutic work.
