Neha Zia

Counselling Psychologist & Associate

Neha Zia is currently working with a range of client presentations, specialising in CBT, including eating disorders, body dysmorphia, anxiety, depression, relationship and attachment issues, perfectionism, and low self-esteem.  She has experience providing integrative therapy at a counselling service in North London, as well as facilitating shorter term treatment options within student services. Here, Neha furthered her particular interest in practicing Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), an approach she believes to empower individuals with sensitivity and wisdom towards their concerns. Neha is keen to support many of those amongst us who struggle with shame, guilt and self-doubt.

Prior to her Professional Doctorate, Neha worked in complex community services and inpatient settings, which included provision of key-work support to a range of clients with varying concerns such as addiction, homelessness, and domestic abuse. Following this she advocated for patients within acute psychiatric wards and Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICU) between two hospitals in West London.

Neha works with dedication and enthusiasm and aims to provide non-judgemental therapy with empathy and care. She values the importance of a warm and trusting environment for people to feel comfortable in discussing their thoughts and feelings in an open way. Incorporating creativity in various areas of life through art, meditation and music, is something which Neha is passionate about and encourages creativity and expression amongst others.
