A live 8-week Compassionate Mind Training (CMT) course on Wednesday evenings 7th Sep – 26th Oct 2022 (online).
Course dates: 7th Sep; 14th Sep; 21st Sep; 28th Sep; 5th Oct; 12th Oct; 19th Oct; 26th Oct.
Course time: 7pm – 9.30pm.
Course facilitators: Jen Wood and Chloe Scott, Certified CMT Facilitators, Balanced Minds.
During this innovate, evidence-based 8-week course (Irons & Heriot-Maitland, 2020), participants will be guided in learning how to develop their ‘compassionate minds’. Each session will involve a mixture of taught content, experiential exercises and practices (e.g. mindfulness, imagery, compassionate mind skills development), group discussion, videos and written work.
As the sessions progress, participants will learn how to develop and access their ‘compassionate minds’, and how they can use this to reduce self-criticism, balance strong negative emotions (e.g. anger, anxiety, shame), and become more compassionate to themselves and other people.
