Roxy is a highly skilled and effective BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist currently practicing in the NHS. Roxy has over nine years’ experience as a mental health practitioner in public, private and charitable sectors, working with a variety of clinical presentations. Roxy’s most recent role has been working at Guy’s Hospital, specialising in the treatment of individual’s experiencing severe dental or medical fears. Roxy enjoys working with a diverse client base and welcomes all clients seeking a non-judgemental and safe place for support with their mental health. 

In addition to her work in the NHS (primary and secondary care), Roxy has worked as a Counsellor for students at the Queen Mary University of London and also for a charity service providing specialised support for individuals who have experienced traumatic bereavement and/or traumatic incidents. She has specialist experience working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and perinatal women. Furthermore, Roxy has a particular interest in working with social phobias, low self-esteem and managing depression by improving interpersonal relationships. 

Roxy is an enthusiastic, caring, friendly and confident psychotherapist who enjoys working with individuals holistically and collaboratively to help them manage a wide range of mental health presentations. These include individuals experiencing a wide variety of anxiety and mood disorders such as depression, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress disorder, stress, OCD, health anxiety, panic disorder, social and specific phobias. With a focus on the CBT framework, she also incorporates a variety of therapeutic models into her practice such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness. 

Aside from practical experience, Roxy has a strong academic foundation and is always looking to expand this to ensure she is keeping up to date with current research and methods, incorporating this into practice and broadening her perspective.
